Violence against women
Violence against women is also known as gender- based violence and sexual based too. At least one out of every three women around the world has been beaten, coerced into sex, or otherwise abused in her lifetime with the abuser usually know to her. It is rooted in the gender inequality that women face throughout their lives from childhood through to old age. Many perpetrators believe that violence towards women and girls in normal or appropriate behaviour, supported by society. They feel that they can commit violence without disapproval. It is one of the most widespread violation of human rights and has long term devastating effects on the lives of women, their communities and wider society.
Empowering women’s through Legal Awareness And Case Counselling
On regular bases, we do organize legal awareness sessions in the community on issues like domestic violence, sexual harassment at work place, cyber harassment etc.
These awareness sessions empower the women to know their legal rights and stand for themself against the violence they are facing from years.
We do take-up cases of violence by supporting them with case counselling and giving them the suggestions on how they can go forward in there matter.
Regular follow-ups and assistance at every stage of the matter is given.
